Most Popular Acne Posts

By Acne Free | June 8, 2008

I was digging through my stats for this blog and noticed that a few of the posts I’ve made account for the lions share of the traffic that comes to this blog. I guess this means that means the search engine gods at Google have deemed this content as “relevant” to what people who type in acne related keywords  are looking for.

I also happen to think these are some of the finest posts made to this blog, but I’m somewhat biased ;-)

So in no particular order here’s the top five traffic-getting posts:

One of the most effective means of treating acne that i’ve benefited from is blue/red light therapy.

I have suffered from adult acne since I was 18 and this is the only thing that has really helped me.

It has received good reviews, performing well in clinical treatment studies too - http://www.westward-tv.co.uk/acne/blue-light.html

I think the main advantage is that it is a natural cure without the need for harsh chemicals or antibiotics with side effects.

    Emma,

Does that natural cure take into account the natural differences between male acne and female acne. I recently discovered on http://campusacnetruth.org/ that male acne differs from female acne in that they have different factors, causes, and needs when it comes to treating.

Guys’ skin is 25% thicker (meaning that medication will have to be absorbed much deeper into the skin of a guy)

Also, guy’s have more DHT which produces more oil, clogging the pores.

Girls’ skin has a high PH level which means that their skin will likely dry up more easily in response to treatments.

    Jacobe,

Many treatments fail to adjust their treatments to account for the differences in gender. They fail to address the differences you’ve just stated.

Also, they fail to address the growing concerns over the use of parabens, which are potentially harmful ingredients used to prolong shelf life and have been banned in Europe due to links to certain types of cancer!

Almost all of the major mainstream treatments contain parabens.

I’ve been searching for some time for a treatment that is gender specific and paraben-free. Has anyone come across any such treatment??

I was on here a few weeks looking for an acne treatment that was gender-specific and paraben-free.

Well I found one! And I thought it was only fair to share my discovery. The acne treatment is called “CTRL” It’s brand new and it uses something called all natural 5α Phyto-Technology™ specific to each gender, to reduce oil production - the root cause of acne.

It also uses Ceramides to help heal damaged skin quickly.

Refreshingly, the treatment is paraben-free and contains no other harmful ingredients.
