People Who Write Books Just to Sell Their Over-Priced Products

By Acne Free | June 22, 2006

I was thumbing through an acne book the other day, and I saw what is an all to common theme these days - the author trying to push his own line of over-priced products.

This to me seems like a confilct of interest.

What if Medical doctors had their own line of drugs they could push on their patients?

Of course books are covered under the freedom of speech act, and I think you should be able to write about whatever you want, even if your book is noithing more that a sales pitch for your merchandise.

The point of this little rant….

Always ask yourself what this person has to gain by recommending whatever it is thet are recommending.

And BTW,

One of the things this guy said to buy from him was fish oil. If you want to get omega3 in your diet, and you have acne fish oil is the last thing you should be taking because it contains iodine, and other potentially harmful chemicals that come from polluted water.

If you want omega3 take flaxseed oil. And no I don’t have any I can sell you.
